Bill Farley of Zrii ™ and why his previous experiences will catapult Zrii ™ to be another Billion Dollar Brand

Wow, I just got back from a packed standing room only meeting for Zrii in downtown Phoenix Arizona. There were over 400 people in attendance and it was officially the second largest Zrii meeting besides the Pre-Launch kick off that was held this past October in Chicago (I was also in attendance at that event too.)

Amongst the many speakers, like Tyler Daniels, Jason Domingo, Thurl Bailey of the Utah Jazz, Kirby Zenger, Clinton McKinlay, Curtis Call, Ryan Thompson, Tracy Harward, the one that stood out the most was Bill Farley. You can learn a lot from listening to a man who has created such billion dollar brands as Fruit of the Loom, BVD, Christian Dior, Jordache, Gitano, Acme, Luchesse, Dan Post Boots and etc.

Bill Farley said "one of the things that has stood out for me the most in my entire career is that those that really succeed in life are those that have a willingness to take risks. That quality is the one of the most important things you can do as a person"

Bill Farley talked about how when he first bought Fruit of the Loom, it was only at $500 million dollars in sales. Then, by his efforts, he grew it to over 2.5 Billion dollars in annual sales. Never before has a Network Marketing firm started off with someone at the helm with as much business experience like that of a Bill Farley. This is a guy who won the coveted Horatio Alger award. Not only that, but he also received the White House award for entrepreneurial excellence.

What's interesting is here is a guy who has been around some top quality brands and he makes the statement that "Zrii is the most exciting business that I have every been in. Another exciting thing about Zrii is that the brand was born iconic." He coined Zrii as being "born iconic" because never before has a network marketing company had the 3 things going for it at the same time: being a truly incredible product that does what it says it will do, having the leadership and experience of the big time corporate world, and having such a coveted endorsement like they have from The Chopra Center that was co-founded by Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon.

He says he is asked all the time, "Why, at this stage in my life am I starting a network marketing business and why am I so committed to the product?" The answer was two fold. #1 that "Zrii is going to be a mega-brand". He made a comment that stuck with me; he said "if you've been there you recognize it". What he meant was that since he has been there and done it and seen what billion dollar brands look like and he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that Zrii is going to be just that product.

#2, he said that he has always had a passion for health, nutrition, and fitness. He says that if he could have played in the NBA or in the NFL, he would have. He loves sports. I guess that is also the reason why he has been a minority owner in the Chicago White Sox for over 30 years now.

He then went on to talk about the failures too. He spoke about how he has "been on the highest wrungs of the ladder, and also been in some very deep valleys", like "the year that I lost over 350 million dollars". He admits he lost it due to stupidity and arrogance, but it is times like these that allow you to grow as a person. You need to pick yourself back up off the floor". He continued and said "Look, sometimes you're just going to have bad days. I remember days where I couldn't get up in the morning. I just couldn't get up the energy. My wife would say 'What's wrong with you' and I would respond, I just lost $350 Million Dollars, that's what's wrong with me!!!"

But his advice was this, and he claims he learned from the Tom Hanks' movie Castaway. #1, "You've got to keep breathing. Oxygen is important." He then chuckled and said it may sound like really silly advice, but he recanted, "seriously, you need to keep breathing." What he was alluding to was that no matter how bad or how dark it gets, you need to keep plugging away at it.

Then #2, "When you go through the tough times, you have to start something. You need to regain the passion and the excitement; you've got to turn it around. For example, start exercising; it will change your physiology. You need to alter your outlook. Find something else and move on."

Well, that was how the meeting went. I've got to admit, I am excited that we have in our founder and CEO someone who is passionate about ensuring that this product succeeds no matter what. He is one of the most competitive business men I have met, and I am confident that this company will succeed no matter what.
